SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING
• Check lifeline retraction--Pull out a min. 4 ft.
(1.2m) of lifeline and allow it to retract under light tension.
• Check braking action--Grasp lifeline ABOVE load indicator
and apply a sharp pull. The brake must engage. Release
tension and allow lifeline to retract slowly into the unit. Lifeline
must retract completely. • Inspect webbing load indicator. If
warning flag is exposed, remove from service.
INSTALLATION
• See instructions for mounting procedure.
• Anchorage & mounting hardware must be capable of support-
ing a 5,000 lb. (22kN) static load or meet OSHA requirements
for a safety factor of two. • Anchor device vertically overhead
whenever possible; for suitability in other installation applica-
tions (i.e., lift, horizontal use/lifeline), refer to instructions.
