RING DURATION (Available in PLAR mode only)
Sets the ringing duration when in PLAR mode. May be set to 10
sec, 20 sec, 60 sec and Indefinite.
Note: This field is displayed only if PLAR is selected in the
SIGNALLING TYPE field (SIGNALLING SETUP window) and the
unit's Micro code is version 2.5 or later.
Note: In the Loop Start (LS) and Ground Start (GS) signaling
modes the ringing duration is not limited.

Signalling Monitor

TRANSMIT (Not Adjustable)
Shows current signaling status sent towards the far-end unit. When
TRANSMIT SIGNALLING (SIGNALLING SETUP window) is in
TEST mode, the transmit signaling condition set in the TEST
SETUP window is displayed.
(SIGNALLING SETUP) is in NRML mode, the transmit signaling
condition set in TEST SETUP window is ignored and the
SIGNALLING MONITOR will display the current signaling condition
from the drop equipment.
encoded signaling bits (ONE or ZERO) in the PSFR byte (part of
VT1.5 frame).
Note: When a NOT VALID signaling condition (i.e. combination of
the two signaling bits) is selected in the TRANSMIT SIGNALLING
field (TEST SETUP frame), the unit will send the selected
combination even though it does not apply to any valid signaling
condition for the Signalling Type chosen.
RECEIVE (Not Adjustable)
Shows current signaling status received from the far-end unit.
When RECEIVE SIGNALLING (SIGNALLING SETUP window) is in
TEST mode, the signaling status received from the far-end unit is
overridden and the receive signaling condition set in the TEST
SETUP window is displayed. The receive monitor will display one
of the four transmit signaling combinations (from the far end) or it
may display "∗" either instead of A or instead of B bit. This denotes
a variable condition at the receive end, i.e. ON-HOOK or OFF-
HOOK where the "∗" bit may be either '1' or '0'.
