Scanner air purge
Regular Power track maintenance of the ribbon cable tension
To perform any maintenance, troubleshooting, or replacement of
WARNING:
components, ensure that power is disabled at the breaker.
1. Push heads to the Distant End of the scanner (opposite the Cable End).
2. Remove the beam covers.
NOTE:
3. Remove the head cover and disconnect the connectors from the head termination board.
4. Remove the head clamp screws that hold the power track to the head.
5. Carefully pull the cables and connectors through the head and let them hang.
6. Measure the drop length of the cables and hoses and compare to the new power track.
7. If lengths are okay then disconnect the power tracks from the head carriages. This is done by
removing the bolts connecting the vertical power track brackets to the head carriages.
8. Disconnect power track from the Cable end.
9. Remove the power track.
10. Install new power track reversing the previous steps.
11. Adjust power track clear space
Before completely removing the power track from the
scanner take measurements for the drop cables and
hoses to compare with the replacement power track.
