Sample and reference panel
The Sample and Reference Panel is located on the cable end support of the scanner. You can
initiate samples and references from the rotary switch on this panel. The sample paddle power
cable plugs into a connector on the panel. You can also control the power to the drive motor and
to the headsplit clutch solenoid. An additional sample and reference switch can be added to the
distant end support as an option.

Activates the head separation clutch at the cable end of the
scanner.
Sample: Initiates sample sequence of selected sensors. The
sample/reference switch lamp is on when a sample sequence
is in progress and goes off when it is done.
Reference: Initiates reference sequence of selected
sensors.he sample/reference lamp is on when a reference
sequence is in progress and goes off when it is done.
Disables the drive motor power for scanner or sensor
maintenance.
