Switch S1 on scanner must be set to the "Computer" setting at all times. This
allows the EDAQ based frame controller to properly execute all scanner modes as
Shop mode allows the scanner to continually scan forward and reverse
under the control of the frame controller and MSS.
Manual mode allows the user to jog the scanner forward and reverse by
using the Scan and Offsheet buttons on the frame.
Auto mode indicates the frame is under the full control of the Experion
MX RAE application.
Simply select the desired mode via the EDAQ frame controller's toggle switch and
command the scanner forward and reverse via any scan and offsheet button on a
user panel
Sensor EDAQ (6581500030)
The 4610-00 includes at minimum two sensor EDAQs and possibly up to six. The
first two sensor EDAQs are considered the "base" EDAQs. We specify sensor
EDAQs to explicitly discriminate from the EDAQ that is a component of the frame
controller assembly. It is important to understand how they are enumerated
physically, how they associate with sensors and how they map to RAE jobset I/O
points.
Specifically, each EDAQ has setup from the plug, it measures the impedance of
two resistor values—the so-called "position" and "function" resistors to determine
which software elements to load at boot-time and consequently how to run in
operation.
