Counter Functions
1.
High Speed counter module can count high-speed pulses up to binary value of 32
bits
(-2, 147, 483, 648–2, 147, 483, 647). These high speed pulses cannot be processed
by counter instructions of CPU module (CTU, CTD, CTUD, etc.). The counter
module must be used.
3. The counter module can process inputs that are available are 1-phase input, 2-phase
input, and CW/CCW input.
4. The counter modules count in up count/down count methods.
a)
For 1-phase input:
Up or Down count is achieved by program setting.
Up or Down count is achieved by B-phase input signal.
b)
For 2-phase input:
Up or Down count is achieved by the setting difference in phase between A-
phase and B-phase.
c)
For CW/CCW input:
Up count is achieved if B-phase is LOW as compared with A-phase input.
Down count is achieved if A-phase is LOW as compared with B-phase input.
5. The counter module also supports the following auxiliary modes:
a)
Count Clear
b)
Count Latch
c)
Sampling Count
d)
Input Frequency Measure
e)
Count Function of Input Revolution/Unit Time
f)
