Nozzle holder assembly connection
The nozzles are configured and tested along with the
attendant nozzle holders.
i
An overview of the pressure lines and reducers
required for testing appears on the last but one page.
!
When clamping the nozzle into the nozzle holder
make sure that the sealing surface is not leaking nor
damaged.
1. Place nozzle onto sealing surface of nozzle holder.
!
On nozzle holders with locating pins, the nozzles
are to be aligned such that the holder's locating pins
engage without any problems in the nozzle holder
locating pin holes.
2. Tighten nozzle retaining nut by hand, center the
nozzle while doing so.
3. Tighten with torque wrench, observing tightening
torque specified by the manufacturer.
4. Install the required test pressure line and, where ne-
cessary, the corresponding reducers onto the nozzle
tester.
!
Ensure adequate bending radii when installing the
pressure line, as excessively narrow bending radii
reduce the cross section. The smallest permitted
bending radius is r = 50 mm.
!
The bending radius must not start at the conical
nipple. During the bending process, a distance of 10
mm must be maintained between conical nipple and
start of bending radius.

lines (1 689 979 929)
5. Install test pressure line, with corresponding
connection adapter if required, on the nozzle holder.
!
During assembly, the nozzle holder must be held
with a suitable tool to prevent the test pressure line
from twisting when tightening or loosening.

6. To carry out testing, the nozzle and holder must be
clamped tight in the clamping holder of the suction
device or the spray tank.
7. Confirm the nozzle is not twisted by repeatedly
moving the hand-operated lever several times under
force when the pressure gauge is switched off.
i
The pressure gauge is switched off when the handle
of the shutoff valve is turned all the way to the right.
"
If the nozzle needle moves freely and correctly, the
needle must emit a high whistling sound while it
chatters (exception: hole-type nozzles with one or
two small spray holes, which do not chatter when
the lever is operated rapidly).
