G3 FACSIMILE COMMUNICATIONS
lines/mm (ultra-fine mode) depending on the product. After the image is
read, coding is performed successively in the horizontal scanning direction
one scanline at a time.
Image signals on a G3 facsimile comprise one line's worth of read coded
data, EOL, RTC and fills. The following describes the components of an
image signal.
• EOL (End Of Line)
A coded scanline in the horizontal scanning direction is transmitted con-
secutively from the 1st line. The end of each scanline is appended with a
