(4) Condensing lens
This lens focuses the LASER beam on the photosensitive drum. Note,
however, that the scanning speed at points A and B is different by simply
focusing the LASER beam as can be seen in Fig. 4-39. Accordingly, a lens
that has the characteristic of ensuring that the scanning speed is uniform at
any point on the photosensitive drum is used as the condensing lens.
