The temperature alarm is suppressed:
While the door is open and for 30 minutes after the door is closed
During and 30 minutes after the defrost phase
The signal tone can be turned off by touching the alarm icon on the control
panel.

Door Alarm
The door alarm will go off if the door has been open for more than 5 minutes.
The door alarm can be silenced by closing the door or by touching the alarm icon.

Door Switches (S4/1, S4/2)
The door switches are used to operate the lighting inside the appliance and to
turn the control electronic access on and off. If the controls are not lit when
the door is open, check these switches.
When opening and closing the refrigerator door, there should be an audible
click generated by the door switch relay in the upper section of the refrigerator.
If this is not the case, remove and inspect the magnetic actuator. The inner
magnet is polarized and marked with a red dot. Be sure that this red dot is
visible and pointing down towards the door. See Figure 030-5.

The refrigerator door switch (S4/1) can be removed by popping off the plastic
cover plate. See Section 030-4.19 for instructions.
The freezer door switch (S4/2) is a mechanical switch, located on the freezer
interior wall. The drawer rail activates this switch when the freezer door is closed.
This switch can easily be removed with a lid opener or Miele yellow tool.
