10.2 Set the Method for Lead Inspection
Select Checker Setting from the menu and set Plane or Line scan for the Shape, Ver.
(vertical) or Hor. (horizontal) for the scan direction, and make settings for Area
(inspection range), Object (inspection target color), and Edge Thres. Value (contour).

Procedure:
1.
Select Shape from the menu, and select either Line or Plane
for the scan type.
2.
Select Direction, and set Horizontal, Vertical or Scan
Direction. You can only select Scan Direction when your
selection for Shape was Line.
3.
Select Area and specify the inspection range.
The specification method differs depending on whether you
selected Line or Plane for the Shape setting.
Refer to 4.11 Checker Area Setting Method for details
regarding specifying the area in the case of a plane scan.

Select Object and select either White or Black for the color of
the objects to be detected.
Select White if the color of the leads to be detected is lighter
than the background, and Black if the color of the leads to be
detected is darker than the background.
5.
Normally, leave the Edge Thres. Value setting at its default
setting. If you find that it is not possible to detect the edges
(contours) of the leads as well as you require, change the
differential value for the transition between the light and dark
areas. Check the Result item to display the differential value
before and after the edge, and use this to set the edge
threshold value.
