3. Close the connection compartment cover.

Do not exceed the permissible torque
If you tighten up the screws with a torque > 1.5 Nm, you could may the threading in the
enclosure.
4. Tighten the M4x16 screws of the backplane cover in crosswise order using a maximum
torque of 1.5 Nm.

Installing and removing a memory module

The procedures for installing and removing the memory module are the same for all device
variants. The procedure is described using the example of the built-in unit.
The motherboard is equipped with one slot for an SO-DIMM DDR3 memory module. You
can use it to expand the memory capacity of the device to a maximum of 8 GB.
Note
Use only the memory modules recommended by Siemens AG. You can find additional
information in the section "Accessories (Page 25)".
Requirements
● The device is disconnected from the power supply.
● The device is open.
● Fir 12" touch built-in unit only:
The SSD is removed, see the section "Replacing SSD (device with 12" display)
(Page 115)".
