7.3.3.3 Swapping a CPU with different hardware
CPU swap with different hardware is necessary when two CPUs for two different customers have been
switched at installation and have different hardware (Armada daughter board for instance).
To solve the problem:
1. Swap CPUs on the field (standard procedure)
2. Save configuration on old CPU and restore it on the new CPU using the OMC.
7.4 CCO VPN service
The CCO VPN service allows to establish a VPN tunnel between the OXO Connect and a VPN
gateway. This VPN tunnel enables remote connection from OMC or from the web-based tool.
By using CCI, the OXO Connectivity application can request connection of the OXO Connect to a VPN
gateway. This connection to the VPN gateway is initiated by the OXO Connect through an outbound
connection from the LAN to the WAN. A VPN tunnel is established between the OXO Connect system
and the VPN gateway. Then the requesting application gets access to the OXO Connect through the
VPN gateway only, it does not have access to the OXO Connect LAN.
The connection to the VPN gateway is established on demand.
When CCO VPN is enabled, the V34 and ISDN connection are still allowed, and can be used in
parallel.
