General presentation
1.1 Preliminary
1.1.1 Document summary
This document is intended for people in charge of installing and commissioning an OXO Connect in
customer premises.
According to the customer order, the OXO Connect is delivered as follows:
In Build To Customer Order (BTCO) mode, the OXO Connect is delivered with a software version
including:
The customer's country target with related languages and voice prompts
License keys purchased by the customer (main and CTI)
In stock mode, available as of R3.0, the OXO Connect is delivered without prior knowledge of the
characteristics of the final customer. Taken into the Business Partner Fleet, the OXO Connect is
delivered with a generic software version including the XX country target, with the related languages
and voice prompts. The delivery in stock mode does not include license keys (main or CTI).
On customer site, the customer's country target and license keys must be loaded on the OXO
Connect before starting its configuration.
The country target and license keys can be either automatically loaded on the OXO Connect via the
Cloud Connect infrastructure, or configured manually using the OMC application.
This document only describes the features supported by OXO Connect RCz.n* or higher (for example:
MMC station is not described since it is not supported). Please refer to the OXO Connect
Documentation Note, for historical information. In addition, the Cross Compatibility document is the
reference for detailed status about supported and unsupported devices and applications.
* RCz.n, with z greater than or equal to 2, stands for any release starting from 2016 introducing
Connect capabilities.

For readability purposes, the OXO Connect is called PBX in the rest of the document.
1.1.2 Prerequisites
The customer order must be complete before you proceed with PBX installation on site. Ensure you
have access to:
The OMC application installed on a computer connected to the PBX (refer to the document
Management tools (reference: 8AL91210))
PBX network parameters, such as:
PBX IP address
Subnetwork mask
Router IP address
VLAN ID (if needed)
Proxy server address and credentials (if needed)
DHCP server
