Checking the position of safety remote I/O module
Check if the safety remote I/O module with set parameters is installed in the intended location using the "Start of checking the
module position" function. Check all safety remote I/O modules according to the following procedure.
Operating procedure
1.
Display the detailed settings window of "Network Configuration Settings" in "Basic Settings".
2.
Right-click the module to be checked. Select "Command Execution of Slave Station" from the drop-down list to display
the "Command Execution of Slave Station" window.
3.
Select "Start of checking the module position" in method selection and click the [Execution] button. The Safety LED of the
safety remote I/O module to which the command is executed flashes.
4.
Visually check if safety remote I/O module with blinking [Safety LED] is installed in a desired position when designing.
5.
Complete visual checking. Then, select "Stop of checking the module position" command in "Method selection" on the
"Command Execution of Slave Station" window, and click the [Execution] button. The Safety LED of the safety remote I/
O module to which the command is executed stops flashing.
