PC connection

There is a USB connector on the front of the panel that can be used to connect a PC to the
drive. When a PC is connected to the control panel, the control panel keypad is disabled.

Fieldbus control

You can control the supply unit through a fieldbus interface if the unit is equipped with an
optional fieldbus adapter (for example, option +K454), and when you have configured the
control program for the fieldbus control with the parameters. For information on the
parameters, see ACS880 IGBT supply control program firmware manual
(3AUA0000131562 [English]).
Note: To be able to switch the main contactor [Q2] and the supply unit on and off (Run
enable signal) through the fieldbus, the Run enable command at digital input DI2 must be
on (1). That is the case when the operating switch [S21] is switched to the on (1) position.

Type designation labels

Type designation label of the supply unit

Each IGBT supply unit has a type designation label attached onto the inside of the cubicle
door. The type designation label includes the ratings, appropriate markings, a type
designation and a serial number of the unit.

Serial number. The first digit of the serial number refers to the manufacturing plant. The next four
digits refer to the unit's manufacturing year and week, respectively. The remaining digits complete
the serial number so that there are no two units with the same number.
