● Symptom :
Booklet maker rear tamper does not work properly.
● Troubleshooting method :
Is the rear tamper home sensor working? (Perform diagnostic routine 116-5710)
YES / NO 1. Check if the connector of the sensor is disconnected.
2. Check if the connector J3 on the booklet maker control board is disconnected.
3. Check the harness continuity and replace it if required.
4. Replace the rear tamper home sensor.
5. Replace the booklet maker control board.
Is the rear tamper motor working? (Perform diagnostic routine 116-0370)
YES / NO 1. Check if the connector of rear tamper motor is disconnected.
2. Check if the connector J3 on the booklet maker control board is disconnected.
3. Check the harness continuity and replace it if required.
4. Replace the rear tamper motor.
5. Replace the booklet maker control board.
Is there any high load when the rear tamper moves manually?
NO / YES 1. Check if there is any dust or object on moving slot. Clean them if required.
2. Check if gear is broken. Replace gear if required.
3. Check if rear tamper rack is broken. Replace rear tamper rack if it does.
Replace tamper unit.
