● Symptom :
Booklet maker front tamper does not work properly.
● Troubleshooting method :
Is the front tamper home sensor working? (Perform diagnostic routine 116-5700)
YES / NO 1. Check if the connector of the sensor is disconnected.
2. Check if the connector J3 on the booklet maker control board is disconnected.
3. Check the harness continuity and replace it if required.
4. Replace the front tamper home sensor.
5. Replace the booklet maker control board.
Is the front tamper motor working? (Perform diagnostic routine 116-0360)
YES / NO 1. Check if the connector of front tamper motor is disconnected.
2. Check if the connector J3 on the booklet maker control board is disconnected.
3. Check the harness continuity and replace it if required.
4. Replace the front tamper motor.
5. Replace the booklet maker control board.
Is there any high load when the front tamper moves manually?
NO / YES 1. Check if there is any dust or object on moving slot. Clean them if required.
2. Check if gear is broken. Replace gear if it does.
3. Check if front tamper rack is broken. Replace front tamper rack if required.
Replace tamper unit.
