Transmitter Module Setup Procedure

Transmitter operating parameters are preset at the factory and require no additional
configuration before placing the module into service.
To confirm specific transmitter information, review the monitoring interface (ICIM,
LCI, and so on) of the Prisma II receiver to which the transmitter is connected. All
transmitter information is listed in the Node Data section of the display.
The following example shows an LCI screen for the Prisma II EDR Receiver module
with transmitter data displayed under Node Data.
Perform the following steps ensure correct operation of the transmitter module:
1 Measure the transmitter module optical output power.
2 Check the connection of the optical connector. Make sure the optical connector is
seated and verify fiber bend radius is greater than 1 inch.
