Using the Hyperterminal Configuration Commands

Configuring the Ethernet Port

You can use the command line commands to configure the speed of the
Cisco IPVC 3500 Series Gateway Ethernet port.
Procedure
At the prompt for the command line options, press A to display the advanced command menu.
Step 1
Press 6 to change the network working mode.
Step 2
A list of Ethernet configuration options appear.
At the "Choose working mode" prompt, select one of the following:

At the "Choose Speed working mode" prompt, select one of the following:

Press 1 to configure the gateway for half-duplex operation.
Press 2 to configure the gateway for full-duplex operation.
Press 3 to configure the gateway to negotiate the working mode with the router or switch. This is the
default setting.
Press any other key to return to the main menu without making changes.
Press 1 to configure the gateway to support 100 Mbps Ethernet speed.
Press 2 to configure the gateway to support 10 Mbps Ethernet speed.
Press 3 to allow the gateway module to negotiate the Ethernet speed with the router or switch. This
is the default setting.
Press any other key to return to the configuration menu without changing the setting.
