Navigating In the Menus

For onsite security personnel or administrator, the HRDVS front panel keyboard is the
primary user interface for the system. It allows overall control of the following:
• What is displayed through the monitor
• Whether live or previously recorded video is displayed
• Adjusting the configuration settings to adapt to changing application requirements
During programming, you control the cursor on the screen with the cursor control buttons
on the HRDVS front panel. Use these control buttons to:
• Navigate through the menu structure
• Move to different parts of the active screen
• Edit text titles
• Accept changes to your settings
Note The part of the screen that is active, and will be affected by the buttons, is
always outlined by a selection box.
Figure 4-3 shows the location of the front panel buttons.
