8.3.5 Alarms, Continued
Send – After editing the alarm, click on the Send button to transmit the configuration
to the MaxCom Gold.
Receive – To transmit the current configuration for alarms from the MaxCom Gold to
the PC configuration utility, click on the receive button.
Reload – To return the screen to the default configuration or to the configuration
prior to any changes made in this editing session, press the Reload button.
Save – After editing the fields, click on Save to save your changes.
3. Edit the fields as desired.
Settings
Contact Type – Point to the down arrow beside the field and select Normally Open
or Normally Closed. If normally open is selected, an alarm is inactive when the
contact is open. When the contact closes, an alarm is generated. If normally closed
is selected, an alarm is inactive when the contact is closed. When the contact
opens, an alarm is generated.
Priority – Enter the desired priority level for the alarm (1-16). The default priority is
the same as the alarm number (i.e. Alarm 1 has priority level 1, alarm 16 has priority
level 16). Priority 1 is highest and priority 16 is the lowest.
Actions
Camera Number – enter the camera to be called to the alarm monitor (Monitor 1) in
response to activation of the alarm. The camera can be any of the cameras in the
system: 1-8 in a MaxCom Gold with 8 cameras or 1-16 in a MaxCom Gold with 16
cameras.
Preset Number – enter the preset number of the desired preset position stored for
the above camera to be called in response to the alarm.
Timer – enter the amount of time (0-255 seconds) you want the timer set for when
an alarm is activated.
Relay Camera – if you wish to activate a contact output upon alarm activation, enter
the camera number where the contact output is located.
Relay Number – if you entered a relay camera, specify which relay number on the
camera you wish to activate when the alarm is activated.
Messages
The feature is not programmable at this time.
4. Click on Save to save any changes you have made.
