8.2.1 Communicating with the MaxCom Gold

To define the port settings on the PC where the MaxCom Gold is connected, perform the
following steps.
1. Click on Tools on the main menu.
2. Click on Options.
a. Serial Port – COM1, COM2, None
b. Config Baud Rate
c. To enable/disable port buffering, click on the check box. If there is a check ( )
d. To save any changes made in the options window, click on the Apply button

To change the defined PC port click on the down arrows in the serial port field.
Point to the desired port and click the left mouse button.
To change the default connection baud rate, click on the down arrow in the
Config Baud Rate field. Point to the desired baud rate and click the left mouse
button. The default MaxCom Gold baud rate is 9600 baud.
