Changing to the 12-hour Time

or m to select "12H/24H", then press the
centre of the Operation button.

Press the DISPLAY button to turn off the
menu screen.
Notes:
• The date and time, once set, are internally
recorded even when not displayed on the
screen.
• The menu screen automatically turns off if no
settings are made within 5 minutes.
Attaching the Lens
Hood
When recording outdoors on a sunny day or in
a location with bright lighting, attach the
supplied lens hood to the camcorder. Turn the
lens hood in the direction of the arrow to attach
it.
To remove it, turn it in the opposite direction.
Notes:
• The lens cap can still be attached on top of the
lens hood.
• Filters and other accessories cannot be
attached on the top of the lens hood.

Using the Hand Grip

Before using the camcorder, rotate the hand
grip in the direction of the arrow until it clicks.

Open the hand strap flap (1) and
grip strap (2), and pass the grip
strap through the loop at the end of
the lens cap cord (3).

Pass your hand through the hand
strap and put your thumb close to the
Power Zoom control. Then pull the
grip strap tight until it fits snugly, seal
the Velcro
®
closures (1), and close
the hand strap flap (2).
