Reset Your Brother Machine

Select from the following reset functions:
Machine Reset
To reset any machine settings that you have changed, perform a Machine Reset.
Network settings are not affected by this reset.
Network Reset
Use Network Reset to restore network settings, including password and IP address information, to the factory
settings.
Address Book Reset (ADS-4700W/ADS-4900W)
Reset the Address Book to delete all existing contact information.
Unplug the interface cable before you perform a Network reset.

ADS-4300N
1. Do one of the following:
Windows
Launch
(Brother Utilities), and then click the drop-down list and select your model name (if not
already selected). Click Tools in the left navigation bar, and then click Remote Setup.
Mac
In the Finder menu bar, click Go > Applications > Brother, select your model name, and then double-
click the Brother Remote Setup icon.
If the Discover Devices dialog box appears, select your model name and then click Connect.
2. Click the Machine Info menu in the left navigation pane.
3. Click the Reset button in Machine Reset.
4. Click OK to close the Remote Setup window.
You must use Web Based Management to reset your machine's Network Settings.
ADS-4700W/ADS-4900W
1. Press
[Settings] > [Initial Setup] > [Reset].
2. Press the reset option you want to use.
3. Press [OK] for two seconds to restart the machine.
