Cause
The PIN Number entered in Secure
Function Lock was incorrect.
The inserted USB flash drive is full.
The machine cannot detect a wireless
access point/router that has an active
WPS function.
The certificate does not exist, or is
corrupted.
The machine is not connected to your
computer.
No Scan to FTP/SFTP profile, Scan to
Network profile, or Scan to SharePoint
profile is registered.
(Scan)
You tried to access an email address that
has not been registered in the address
book.
(Secure Function Lock)
A user not registered in Secure Function
Lock is accessing the machine.
Auto Start Scan Mode was enabled
while a document was loaded.
(ADS-4700W) All Rollers have been used
over 100,000 times.
(ADS-4900W) All Rollers have been used
over 200,000 times.
Action
• Set the Extendable Output Tray to the
correct length.
• (ADS-4700W/ADS-4900W) Set the
Document Separation Switch to
(Manual Single Mode).
Enter the correct PIN Number. Contact
your administrator to check your Secure
Function Lock settings.

Press Close, and then do one of the
following:
• Delete unused files or folders from the
USB flash drive, and then try again.
• Use a USB flash drive that has more
free space.
Check the following:
• You did not press the WPS button on
two or more wireless access point/
routers.
• Restart the machine and the wireless
access point/router.
Configure the settings under Signed PDF
in the Administrator menu in Web Based
Management.
Connect the machine to your computer,
and then try again. If a USB flash drive is
inserted into the machine, remove it.
Configure the Scan to FTP/SFTP profile,
the Scan to Network profile, or the Scan
to SharePoint profile before using these
scanning features.

Make sure the email address is correctly
configured.
