Replacement
CAUTION:
with yellow outer insulation.
Replace the entire affected SRS harness assem-

bly if there is an open circuit or damage to the
wiring.
1 . Remove the console, then disconnect the 12-P and
2-P connectors from the console switch.
2. Remove the 2 console switch mounting bolts.

Position the switch slider to "Neutral" as shown

Shift the select lever to "Neutral", then slip the con-

sole switch into position.
5 . Attach the switch with the 2 bolts.
6. Test the console switch in the P and N positions. (see
page 23-l 56)
NOTE: The engine should start when the shift lever
is in the N position (within the range of free play).

Connect the 12-P and 2-P connectors, clamp the har-
ness and install the console.

SRS MAIN WIRE HARNESS
1. Remove the gauge assembly (See page 23-128).
2. Disassemble the gauge assembly (See page 23-l 32).
3. Remove the bulb.
4. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
