Installation
6.3.10.4 Procedure to Establish a TX Path Reference Level
For this procedure, you must first establish a reference level. Follow these steps to do so.
Set up the equipment, as shown in
Step 1
Spectrum Analyzer span, bandwidth resolution, video bandwidth, sweep, and frequency.
Step 2
Connect the Signal Generator to the Spectrum Analyzer using 3 segments of N-type terminated test cable
and 2 F-F barrel connectors.
Step 3
Turn on the RF signal.
Adjust the Signal Generator signal until the value in the Spectrum Analyzer is approximately –20dbm.

Make sure the Test Box is not connected to power.

Follow the setup instructions provided in
transmit path gain or loss.

Any time you reconnect the cable, going form the JP-1 QMA connector, located on the topof the RFD
Test Box, to one of the RF ports in the ANtenna, make sure to disconnect the RFS Test Box from its
power source. Failing to this may cause rapid degradation of the QMA connector in the RFS Test Box,
due to DC voltage arc between the center conductor and the outer shield of the QMA connector.

the RFS (repeat for each RF port)
