The following figure shows the power option when the phone is connected in daisy chain mode.

Connect to the Network

You need to connect the phone to the network.
• Wired network connection—All wired network connections use one of the following:
Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 PoE Injector: Use this if the LAN supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
The phone is plugged into the Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 PoE Injector, which in turn is plugged
into the network using an Ethernet cable.
Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 Non-PoE Ethernet Injector: Use this if the LAN does not support PoE.
The phone is plugged into the Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 Non-PoE Ethernet Injector, which in
turn is plugged into the network using an Ethernet cable. Then, the adapter is plugged into an electrical
outlet.
Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 Ethernet Injector: If the LAN does not support PoE and you are based
in North America, you can use this as an alternate non-PoE option. However, if you are based outside
North America, you must use the Cisco IP Conference Phone 8832 Non-PoE Ethernet Injector. The
