Figure 1. Headstock controls.
A. Spindle RPM Readout: Indicates spindle
speed in rotations per minute (RPM).
B. Spindle Direction Switch: Toggles spindle
direction between clockwise and counter-
clockwise.
C. Speed Control Knob: Adjusts spindle speed
from low to high within range governed by
pulley belt position.
D. ON/OFF Switch w/Emergency Stop Button:
Turns lathe ON and OFF.
E. Belt Tension Lock Handle: Locks belt ten-
sion lever in place.

Belt Tension Lever: Increases and decreas-
es amount of tension on belt.
