Chapter 4 Management Via SNMP
This instance contains the slot in which the EDFA is installed as well as the
heOpAmpOutputIndex.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.3.1.1.4.1.1
heOpAmpSetOpticalOutputPower -In order for a value in this OID to affect the
EDFA, heOpAmpOutputGainType must be set to constantPower(1). The units of
this value are 0.1 dBm. The EDFA accepts a value set by
heOPAmpSetOpticalOutputPower, but will not act on it until
heOpAmpOutputGainType is changed to the correct setting.
OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.1.3.1.1.4.1.2
heOpAmpGainPerWavelength -In order for a value in this OID to affect the EDFA,
heOpAmpOutputGainType must be set to constantGain (2). The units of this value
are 0.1 dBm. The EDFA accepts a value set by heOPAmpGainPerWavelength, but
will not act on it until heOpAmpOutputGainType is changed to the correct setting.

heOpAmpOutputPower - The value of the laser output power, in 0.1 dBm units,
displays in this OID. This element contains the same value as
heOpAmpLaserOutputPower for the same EDFA on the heOpAmpLaserTable.

heOpAmpOutputGainType - Valid values for this OID are constantPower(1) or
constantGain(2). Depending on which is chosen, configurations selected for
heOpAmpSetOpticalOutputPower or heOpAmpGainPerWavelength is
implemented by the EDFA.

The HMS optical switch MIB has the following three tables under
heOpticalSwitchMIBObjects:

heOpSwitchUnitTable
This section explains the implementation of the heOpSwitchUnitTable.
heOpSwitchMode - This OID can be set to automatic(1) or manual(2). In automatic
mode, heOpSwitchRevertEnable can be set to on(2), which allows the switch to
revert to the primary path if the optical power returns to a valid level following a
power loss on the primary path. In manual mode, setting the
heOpSwitchRevertEnable to on(2) has no affect on the module.
