Introduction
This section describes troubleshooting procedures for ÄKTA avant and how to generate
a System error report for service purposes. Subsequent sections in this chapter present
general troubleshooting checklists, module-specific problems and corrective actions.

Action
Always start by checking the General checklist. See Section 8.2 Troubleshoot-
ing: General Checklist, on page 361.
In this document, search for solutions in the section corresponding to the
problem.
Make the recommended corrective actions.
If problems remain after corrective actions, generate a System error report
and contact your local GE representative.
Possible cause and action
The operating system of the computer does not have
the text font Calibri True Type installed. For example,
Windows XP does not include this font by default.
Install the font Calibri True Type or switch to an operating
system that includes the font.
