WARNING
The system must be switched on during the measurement. Measuring instruments with
automated measuring sequences must therefore be set to manual measurement.
Enter the highest value as the first measured value in the device leakage current record.
This value must not exceed the permissible leakage current values according to DIN VDE
0751-1:2001-10, Table F.1, line "Device leakage current for devices according to remarks
1 and 3", of 2.5 mA.
Measure and record the current line voltage. If the measured line voltage deviates from the
nominal voltage, then correct the measured value to the value corresponding to a measure-
ment at the nominal value of the line voltage. Document this as well.
Document the measuring procedure (residual measurement or direct measurement) and
the measuring instrument used (designation and serial number).
File the record sheet in the system folder or logbook together with the existing records.
Repeat measurement
When service or repair work is performed on the primary power supply circuit (e.g. repairs
to the power-on circuit or replacement of the line filter), the device leakage current mea-
surement must be repeated.
The same measuring conditions as in the first measurement apply.
Record and assess the highest value determined in the repeat measurement in the existing
device leakage current record.
Document the measuring procedure (residual measurement or direct measurement) and
the measuring instrument used (designation and serial number)

Electric voltage!
Noncompliance can lead to severe injuries and even death.
In the direct measurement of the device leakage cur-
rent the protective conductor is no longer connected
with the protective conductor of the power socket. In
the first case of fault, voltages up to the level of the line
voltage can therefore occur in the protective conductor
or the housing of the system. Housing parts of the sys-
tem must not be touched during the measurement.
Third-person access to the system must be prevented.
