Description

hardware.

Table 2: Terms Used

Description
Refers to a set configuration of DAC and DE. Or, if the DAC is
used alone, this denotes the DAC.
This is a unit that controls the disk array functions. This denotes
a configuration consisting of a DAC enclosure and a CONT.
Model name: NF53xx-xBxxx  indicates DAC
Model name: NF53xx-xFxxx  indicates CONT
Refers to a unit that is connected to the DAC and used to expand
or add a disk drive.
Model name: NF53xx-xExxx  indicates DE
Refers to a hard disk drive (HDD) or a solid state drive (SDD)
with a dedicated carrier.
Model name: NF53xx-xMxxx  indicates HDD
Model name: NF53xx-xSxxx  indicates SSD
