b. Measure the ABS ECU voltage.

6. Check:
• ABS-ECU-to-start-switch-lead continuity
No continuity → Replace or repair the
wire harness.
Continuity is all right.
▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼
a. Connect the digital circuit tester to the ABS
ECU coupler and right handlebar switch
coupler.

• Positive tester probe →
Green/white "1" (ABS ECU)
• Negative tester probe →
Green/white "2" (right handlebar switch)
b. Check for continuity between the ABS ECU
and the start switch lead.

7. Check:
• ABS ECU voltage
Out of specification → Replace the right
handlebar switch.
ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM)
Start switch "ON": less than 1 V
Start switch "OFF": more than
12 V

a. Connect the digital circuit tester (DC 12 V)
to the ABS ECU coupler.

Green/white "1"
• Negative tester probe →
Black "2"
b. Push the start switch.
c. Measure the ABS ECU voltage.

8. If the above-mentioned checks are within
specification, replace the hydraulic unit
assembly.
