Voltage Present on Power Electronic (ELP)/Frequency
Converter Electronic (EFU)
Danger!
A capacitor on the power electronic (ELP)/frequency converter electronic
(EFU) maintains voltage of up to approximately 400 volts, even after the
appliance is disconnected from the power supply.
After the appliance is disconnected from power, an electrical resistor
discharges the capacitor within approximately 2 minutes.
Work on the power electronic (ELP)/frequency converter electronic (EFU)
may only be started after it has been established that the capacitor has
been safely discharged.

Electrical Connection As Per IEC 60309-2 (VDE 0623-2)

4
It is recommended to connect the appliance to a connection box so that
safety checks or service work can easily be carried out.
This connection box must be easily accessible, even if a main switch has
already been installed.
For machines with a connected load greater than 9kW, a main switch must
also be provided on site; see standard series IEC 60947 (VDE 0660).
If disconnection from the on-site power supply is not readily visible, also
disconnect at this connection box.
The electrical connection must be established in accordance with all
applicable laws, accident prevention guidelines and regulations.
Note:
See also IEC 60204-1 (VDE 0113-1) for requisites and recommendations
for connection kits for machines, in order to promote
personal and property safety;
machine reliability;
ease of maintenance

Restoring the Ground Connection after Dismantling the
Front and Side Panels
Danger!
The ground connection can be invalidated by faulty reassembly of laundry-
care appliances.
The ground connection for laundry-care appliances is established via screws:
raised-head screws with teeth or serrated washers underneath connect the
ground lead to the interference-suppression filter, the front panel, the side
panels and the housing frame. These screws are different from the rest of the
appliance screws in their diameter, type of thread, and type and material of
the washer.
