USB Drivers Installation
EBLWin communicates with FT1020G3 via USB. Since the control unit is unknown to
Windows, drivers must be installed. The new signed driver is available in Brooks website.
The driver software will be installed as two devices; one device is USB controller and one
devise is USB serial port.
The procedures below describe the driver's installation procedures for Win 10 or Win11:
1. Connect a USB cable from your PC to FT1020G3 (driver's software should be
saved in a new folder in your PC).
2. Windows displays two messages "We are setting up a new device" and a few
seconds later "Your device is set up and ready to go". Ignore these messages.
3. Open the device manager by right-clicking on the Windows Start-button and select
Device manager. You need to be an administrator of the PC to access the
device manager.
4. Locate "Fire Alarm CU EBL512 G3" under "Other devices" as shown below
5. Right click on "Fire Alarm CU EBL512 G3" and select "Update Driver", the
following dialog is shown.
