Using The Fre e EG
The Free EG is a specia l 4 -tra ck recorder for
recording rea l-tim e k nob position movements,
one pa ra meter per tra ck . Subsequently, w hen
you pla y the voice, the da ta of the pa ra meter
a ssigned to ea ch tra ck w ill a utoma tica lly cha nge
in a ccorda nce w ith the w a y you recorded it.

There are three categ o ries o f Free EG parameters: (1 )
Track Co mmo n, which includes setting s that affect all fo ur
tracks o f data fo r reco rding and play; (2 ) Track, o r setting s
which determine the current Free EG track, the parameter
assig ned to each track, and which Scene the Free EG will
play; and (3 ) Track J o b, fo r reco rding a track (o r all tracks)
and perfo rming track co py o peratio ns. Fo llo wing is a brief
descriptio n o f parameters available in each categ o ry.

The Free EG is extremely flexible. Yo u can reco rd each
parameter in separate track passes, o r all tracks
simultaneo usly in o ne pass. Yo u can specify the leng th o f
time the Free EG will reco rd o r play back, either in
measures (up to eig ht bars, based o n T empo setting ), o r
" abso lute" time (up to 1 6 .0 seco nds), as well as have the
Free EG lo o p in o ne o f fo ur ways as yo u ho ld the keys.
Yo u can co py Free EG data fro m ano ther track to the
current track, within the same vo ice as well as fro m
ano ther vo ice. And since Free EG track data and setting s
are vo ice parameters, they are sto red as vo ice data when
yo u perfo rm a Vo ice Sto re o peratio n.
