● Turn on the VCR and the TV, and select the AV
mode on the TV.
● Set the [VCR/TV/CABLE/DBS] selector on the
Remote to [VCR].

Checking program settings

Disengage timer
Press [TIMER (‰)], then press [POWER].
● When "AUTO TIMER" (
you do not have to press [TIMER (‰)].

Access Program List screen
Press [PROG. CHECK].
● The clock must be set to
access the program list.
If you have not set the
clock, the Main Menu
screen appears after an
error message is
displayed. Refer to page 10 for the clock setting
procedure.

Access Program screen
Press [PROG. CHECK] again to check more
detailed information. Each time you press [PROG.
CHECK], the Program screen of the subsequent
program appears.
● To return to the normal screen, press [PROG.
CHECK] repeatedly until no Program screen is
shown.

Cancel or change program setting
To cancel a program,
press [CANCEL] when the
Program screen you do
not want is shown.
● After the program has
been canceled, the next
program will appear on
the screen.
To change a program, press the appropriate button:
[START+/–], [STOP+/–], [DATE+/–], [TV/VCR CH+/–],
[DAILY] (number [8]), [WEEKLY] (number [9]) and/or
[REC SPEED] when the Program screen you want to
make changes is shown.

Return to normal screen
Press [PROG. CHECK] repeatedly until no Program
screen is shown.

Re-engage timer recording standby mode
Press [TIMER (‰)].
● When "AUTO TIMER" (
the timer recording standby mode automatically
resumes when you turn off the VCR.
