Do not replace a surge protection module during a thunderstorm.


Procedure
Step 1 Switch the SPD circuit breaker to OFF.
Step 2 Remove the protective panel of the SPD.

Step 3 Detect the L1, L2, L3, and N voltages to the PE using an electrical tester pen to check whether
there is voltage, and verify that the faulty SPD has no voltage before replacing the faulty
surge protection module.
Issue 07 (2019-04-15)
Tools required: an electrical tester pen and the PDC door key.
Materials required: a spare surge protection module of the same model is available and
functional.
