5. Press TX focus RADIO1 button.
6. With LEFT/RIGHT EAR and + button select required headphones audio for 1
7. Press TX focus RADIO2 button.
8. With LEFT/RIGHT EAR and + button select required headphones audio for 2
9. Press TX focus RADIO1 button and switch RADIO1 to transmit.
10. With LEFT/RIGHT EAR and + button select required headphones audio for 3

12. With LEFT/RIGHT EAR and + button select required headphones audio for 4
13. Click Stereo headphones "invert" box at SO2R tab.
14. With LEFT/RIGHT EAR and + button select required headphones audio for Stereo state.
15. Press and hold + than BOTH button to escape programming mode, AUTO light stops flashing.
16. Save the setting by holding F1 - F4 or (+)F1 through (+)F4 for more than one second.
Note: AUTO headphone switching and AUTO Transmit Focus can be used independently.
Functions are memories in which the current operating state of MK2R, including all headphone
configurations, can be stored. Using these functions (memories), the operator can easily program and
recall the MK2R configuration for a particular operating situations – for example, small pile-up, large pile-
up, S&P, 40 meters, etc. There are eight memories: F1-F4 are accessed by pressing a single button and
F5 – F8 are accessed by holding + and pressing F1 – F4. These memories are retained in EEPROM and
can be saved to file on computer, uploaded from the computer to MK2R. Files created on one MK2R can
be loaded on another system.
MK2R settings are stored to by pressing a particular F-key for longer than one second. Settings can be
recalled with a short F-key press. Writing to the functions can be disabled (protect content) by enabling
LOCK (POWER button).
These settings are stored to the function memory:
all headphone switching states
AUTO headphones mode
AUTO TX focus mode
headphones MIX
all MODE button selections
RECORDING/DIGITAL channels selector
These setting are NOT saved:
TX focus
RX focus
STEREO signal
FRONT/REAR microphone selector
TIP: When creating functions, begin by recalling a configuration that is similar to the desired
function to minimize the changes.
