Mounting/Removing a Module or Terminal Block

Mounting/removing a module

This section describes the procedure of mounting/removing a module on/from a base unit.
Turn off a system when mounting/removing the module.
Attach a blank cover module (RG60) to a connector where no modules is mounted to prevent entry of foreign matter such as
dust.
Main base unit, extension base unit
■ Mounting procedure (with a module fixing hook)
When using the programmable controller in an environment of frequent vibration or impact, secure the module
to the base unit using screws.
• Module fixing screw: M312 (sold separately)

When a cap is attached to the module
connector of the base unit, remove it.
2.
Place the concave part (1) of a module onto
the guide (2) of the base unit.
3.
Push in the module until the module fixing hook
(3) snaps into place.
4.
Check that the module fixing hook (3) hangs
the base unit and the module is mounted on
the base unit securely.
