Chapter 9: Troubleshooting
Reactor Outlet Valve Leak Check
Refer to see Figure 74 on page 205, as needed.
•
Press the Reactor Outlet Valve button to start the test.
•
The following valves are closed: V1-R, V3-R, V5-R, V6-R and V7-SH.
•
Valves V2-R, V4-R and V7-R are opened.
•
The Gas Control Module pressurizes the lines using the optional air pump P1-GS or the pressurized gas
source for 10 sec., then valve V2-GS closes to trap that pressure in the area being tested. During this
10-sec. pressurization period, the timer remains at 00:00.
•
Monitor the pressure appearing on the right side of the display. Note the pressure at time = 00:00, then
note the pressure 30 sec. later (time = 00:30).
•
Press the Reactor Outlet Valve button to stop the test.
•
The pressure should not have dropped more than 3 psia. If the pressure did drop more than that
amount, but it passed the previous leak check, then seal in V5-R may need to be replaced.
•
Remove the plug on the NDIR end cap outlet gas line.
