Chapter 6: Analyzer Operation
In the example shown in Figure 25, the Run Time is 1.5 hours. As the graph indicates, the Run Time must be less
than the Cycle Frequency. If you select an incorrect Cycle Frequency that is less than the Run Time, the
Analyzer will automatically display a notification message and will not start analysis.
To aid in the setup process, the Analyzer calculates the Run Time for the current Online configuration. On the
Configure Online screen, press the Calc Run Time button. A Total RunTime message appears with the calculated
run time (such as 0.83 hours) of the current protocol (see Figure 31). The message also prompts you with an
opportunity to set the Cycle Frequency. Press Yes if you want to increase the Cycle Frequency. If the Cycle
Frequency is already greater than the Run Time, or to adjust the Run Time instead of the Cycle Frequency,
press No.
Figure 26: Calculating the Run Time
Adjust the Run Time by reducing the number of repetitions on one or more Streams or the check standard. Also,
consider making the measurements in ways that take less time. Auto Range measurements require more time
than when a particular Range is selected. Possibly one or more measurements can be made with fewer or no
Sample Flushes.
