Reactor Bypass Leak Check

This test checks for leaks in the same area as the Reactor Inlet Valve Leak Check, and it also checks for leaks in
valve V5-R, V7-R and pump P1-R. These areas are highlighted in Figure 72.
Press the Reactor Bypass button to start the test.
The following valves are closed: V1-R, V3-R, V4-R, V5-R, V7-R and V7-SH.
Valves V2-R and V6-R are opened.
The Gas Control Module pressurizes the lines using the optional air pump P1-GS or the pressurized gas
source for 10 sec., then valve V2-GS closes to trap that pressure in the area being tested. During this
10-sec. pressurization period, the timer remains at 00:00.
Monitor the pressure appearing on the right side of the display. Note the pressure at time = 00:00, then
note the pressure 30 sec. later (time = 00:30).
Press the Reactor Bypass Valve button to stop the test.
The pressure should not have dropped more than 3 psia. If the pressure did drop more than that
amount, but it passed the previous leak check, then check the gas connections on V5-R. Check the
connections between V5-R and V6-R, V7-R and pump P1-R. If all of those connections are correct, then
the seal in V5-R may need to be replaced due to leaking O-rings.
Remove the plug on the NDIR end cap outlet gas line if this is the last leak test to be performed.
Otherwise, leave the plug in place and proceed to the next leak test.
