Chapter 6: Analyzer Operation

Operation with Multiple Streams

The InnovOx On-Line TOC Analyzer may be used to monitor multiple streams. The base configuration can
monitor two streams, and five streams can be monitored with the optional 5-Stream configuration. With the
exception of the number of streams, both Analyzers are set up the same way.
When multiple streams are measured, the Analyzer measures the enabled streams in numerical order. For
example, Stream 2 follows Stream 1. Any disabled streams are skipped. If the Fail Safe option is employed,
streams are also skipped whenever a stream stops flowing. When flow resumes in that stream, the Analyzer will
measure it again in its original sequence.
N
:
To increase the accuracy and speed of the measurements, observe the concentrations in adjacent
OTE
sample streams. Minimize the concentration difference between adjacent streams. It takes more
time to get an accurate measurement because more Sample Flushes are required, when one
stream is a much higher concentration than the following stream.
To set up stream measurements
1.
On the Setup tab, press the Online button.
2.
Press the Configure Online button. The Configure Online screen appears.
3.
Press a stream button (such as Stream 1 Setup) to configure making measurements for this stream.
The setup screen for the selected stream appears.
N
:
If the stream button is disabled, press the Enabled button that appears to the right. At
OTE
least one stream must always be enabled in Online mode.
