Chapter 8: Maintenance
8. Secure the new seal to the end of the valve shaft, and then using a 3/8 in. wrench tighten the seal 1/4
turn past finger-tight. Do not over-tighten the seal.
9. Replace the motor and secure it with the four screws.
10. Repeat steps 4 through 8 for the other motor. Always replace both seals.
11. Perform other maintenance tasks, or close the Analyzer door and return the Analyzer to normal
operation.
12. The seals must be used before they conform to the shape of the sealing surface in the valves. They will
have to operate for at least 20 measurements before the Analyzer will achieve its maximum precision.
