Adjusting the Traction
Control Alignment
If the traction control bar does not rest flush
and square with the reference bar when in the
full backward position, immediately complete the
following procedure:
1. Park the traction unit on a flat surface and
lower the loader arm.
2. Stop the engine and remove the key.
3. Pull straight back on the traction control so
the front of the control contacts the reference
bar (Figure 43).

4. If the front of the traction control does not
rest square and flush with the reference bar,
loosen the flange nut and bolt in the stem of
the traction control (Figure 44).

5. Adjust the traction control so that it rests flush
against the reference bar when it is pulled
straight back (Figure 44 and Figure 45).

6. Tighten the flange nut and bolt in the traction
control stem.
Adjusting the Traction
Control Neutral Position
If the traction unit creeps forward or backward
when the traction control is in neutral and the
unit is warm, immediately complete the following
procedure:
1. Lift/support the traction unit so that both
tracks are off of the ground.
2. Open the rear access cover.
3. Loosen the jam nuts on the traction rods,
under the control panel (Figure 46).

4. Start the traction unit and set the throttle to
about 1/3 open position.
