Never leave the hattery pack in temperatures above 140°F (60°C), such as in a car parked in
the sun o1"trader direct sunlight.
The battery pack heats up
During charging o1"recording, the hattery pack heats up. This is caused hy energy that has
been generated and a chemical change that has occurred inside the battel T pack. This is not
cause fkOl" conceri], alld is norlllal.
Battery pack care
• Remove the battery packfrom the camcorder after using it, and keep it in a coo| place.
When the battery pack is installed to the camcorder, a small amount of current flows to
the camcorder even if the POWER switch is set to OFF. This shortens batte W lifb.
• The battery pack is always discharging even when it is not in use after charging.
Therefore, you should charge the battel T pack right before using the camcorder.
The life of the battery pack
If the hattery indicator flashes rapidly just after turning on the eamcorder with a fully
charged battery pack, the battel T pack should be replaced with a new fldly charged one.
Charging temperature
Yon should chmge batteries at temperatmes fl'om 50°F to 86°F (flora 10°C to 30°C). Lower
temperatures require a longer charging time.
