Tile NightShot ftmction enables yon to shoot a sutoject in a dark place. Yon can achieve a
satisf_mtoW recording of the ecology of nocturnal animals fbr observation with this f\mction.
This function may record pictme nearly in monocbrome.
(1) While the camcorder is in Standby mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to ON. After both _1
indicator and "NIGHTSHOT" flash, only D indicator lights up.
(2) Press START/STOP to start recording. After both m indicator and "NIGHTSHOT" flash,
only I_ indicator lights up.

To cancel the NightShot function
Slide NIGHTSHOT to OFF.
Using the NightShot Light
• When you set N.S.LIGHT to CONin the menu systen-l, the pirture will be inore rlear.
• Set N.S.LIGHT to OFF in the menu system to save the battery power. Tile NightShot effect
becomes weak instead.
• NightShot Light rays are infrared and are tberefi0re invisible. The maximum limit of
NightShot Light is about 10 Det (3 m).
Notes on the NightShot
• When you keep setting NIGHTSHOT to ON in normal recording, tile color may not be
recorded properly.
• If fbcusing is difficult with tile autofbcus mode when using the NightShot f\mction, use
I_lanua] foct/s.
